I am being interviewed by a magazine, which has caused me to be very reflective and open with my journey. This has been a very difficult journey for me. I was raised to be "successful" in a material sense. I have multiple advanced degrees and have been in the legal field for 17 years; however I am a natural creator. I love to write, create, be one with nature, and dig deeper into my soul's true purpose. This year has been greatly transformative for me and I am finally reaching my soul's true potential and purpose. I have always known that I wanted to help others and with my story and the struggles I have been through, I have found that sharing that allows others to accept their truth and we collectively can support one another. I am writing a book "Every Woman: Every Woman Has a Story", that I share excerpts from weekly. It is a book that is based on a true story - the true story of my life.

Native Botanicals started while I was attending a business networking retreat for my legal business. I was teaching the women how to create beautiful botanical wall-hangings and they all encouraged and supported me to step further into it. I had a few commission pieces and was encouraged to start a business. I took a leap, walked through my fear, and just sat at my computer one night, creating a name, logo, and website. It was exhilarating and exciting but the journey has not been easy. It can be confusing when you have a business that provides a source of income and another business that is built on passion. I have never really stepped into my power and truth and finally am through Native Botanicals. I am excited to see what the future holds and could not continue to move forward without the support of my family and friends. I feel very blessed.

Native Botanicals bring nature into hearts and homes; and provides workshops and retreats grounded in healing and self-care. It is my journey of self-discovery in hopes of supporting and inspiring others. I believe in using my connection with nature to encourage healing. Native Botanicals is born out of a passion to create, heal, and serve. As I have ventured through my life, I’ve had a deep desire to connect with nature, art, and humanity. Art just comes to me through life, just like breath flows in and out.

I have had a tumultuous life filled with abuse, addiction, trauma, and a difficult transition into motherhood. This has forced me to reach beyond the physical world and dig deeper into my soul to find a place of healing. My son has been a big influence in my healing process. I found that I was parenting from a place of fear and not enjoying motherhood. I had a traumatic labor and delivery and could not see beyond it. As my son has grown, he has become a nature and art lover as well. He has really sparked my fire again to create. The joy he’s had over the years painting rocks, exploring the desert, creating something out of nothing, has really filled my heart and soul.

Over the years I've found magic in the desert, mountains, ocean, and forest . I LOVE being in the High Desert, right outside of Joshua Tree, connecting with others, living on the land, no electronics, and just being.

It’s beautiful.

My soul focus for Native Botanicals is to support the women in my community - by providing space and tools to heal, grow, and support one another. I host retreats four times a year, in the desert, mountains, ocean, and forest. All lodging and meals are included, as well as guided discussions, recommended reading, gifts from local artisans, featured speakers, and botanical creations.

This is an ongoing, evolving journey, that has just been pulled out of me by women in my community. I am just the vessel to provide this healing and support, and am excited to share my journey with everyone!

I am most proud of my ability to move forward with Native Botanicals, letting go of the result. I am aware that this journey may be just that - a journey. And I want to support others on their journeys. When I let go of expectations, I find so much beauty and growth. Through my transformation and healing, I am able to support others in their transformation and healing. I am excited to share more as my journey continues and my book "Every Woman: Every Woman Has a Story" unfolds.
