Desert Life

It all started a year ago. We were celebrating our 5 year wedding anniversary and stayed at the cutest Bed and Breakfast in Whitewater Canyon out in the High Desert - Casa de los Desperados. It was the most amazing, exhilarating experience of our lives! We started off in Palm Springs with dinner and a trip to the top of the San Jacinto mountains; ventured out to Joshua Tree National Park; had lunch at Crossroads Cafe; explored Landers and had a sound healing at the Integratron; and, of course, ate at Pappy & Harriet's in Pioneertown. Our last day we explored Whitewater Canyon, hiked on the PCT, met some thru-hikers, and decided we had a dream to live in the desert (at least part-time).
After many trips and multiple properties, we finally settled on one in Landers, CA, right outside of Joshua Tree. Our souls crave the desert. The energy, the solitude, the disconnection with chaos and the connection with peace, immersing in nature and just being. It has been healing and nurturing for our whole family. We are excited to share our passion with others by placing several Air BnB's on our property and bringing friends and family out to experience the magic of the High Desert! Stay tuned for the progress as we document our journey...as for now it is just a little plot of land full of sand, rocks, and plants (my favs!)...located where the little yellow star is!
